About Miss Kimberley- Principle of KVAD
Kimberley Vowles studied dance from a young age and graduated from Performers College in 2006 with a Diploma in Dance Theatre, having had 3 years professional dance training as a scholarship student. She then began her professional career touring both in the UK and abroad. Since graduating she has worked constantly in the entertainment industry as a Dancer, Choreographer and Teacher.
Kimberley has always had a strong passion for teaching. She qualified with the ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) in Modern and Tap Dance in 2006. Kimberley has entered many students for ISTD and RAD examinations always achieving excellent results. Several of her pupils have progressed to dance at the ‘All England Dance Finals’ and performed in local professional pantomimes. Some have also achieved places at prestigious performing arts colleges.
Kimberley's love for dance and theatre shines through when teaching so each class is enjoyable, inspiring and engaging for the children.
Kimberley offers the children at Edgeborough, Tormead and Cranleigh school a chance to enjoy a range of classes such as RAD Ballet, ISTD Modern, ISTD Tap, Musical Production, Street Dance and Theatre Arts.
Numerous children have been entered for both ISTD Modern and RAD Ballet examinations. With 100% achieving a Merit or Distinction it is clear the children work to a high standard.
Alongside examinations the children enjoy working towards several performances throughout the year- The highlight being the annual dance show where their skills as a performer are shown in a variety of styles and which highlights the chidren's love of dance.
Theatre Arts classes run on a Saturday morning and is an open class for students who want to develop their interest in Musical Theatre. Performances of the children's work are held at the end of each term open to parents, family and friends.
Kimberley holds both an up-to date DBS certificate and liability insurance.
